To travel to Antarctica is not required to have an excellent physical form, but it is necessary that you do not have mobility problems and that you are autonomous. In other words, you can walk without problem and you are able to go out by yourself from wherever you have gotten yourself.
It is important to always keep in mind that Antarctica is one of the most remote areas of the world, where infrastructures in general and especially tourist infrastructures are extremely limited or even non-existent. Traveling to Antarctica requires to be flexible and accept the changes that this limitation may entail in terms of the services provided. We must be aware, then, that in some cases it may be impossible, for example, the replacement of a service with another of similar characteristics and even a quick medical assistance or evacuation.
